Czech Republic
The Czech Republic is a well-known destination for fertility treatment. IVF centres are authorised and listed as tissue establishments by the State Institute for Drug Control (SÚKL), and statutory health insurance covers a limited number of cycles for eligible patients.
How care is organised
The Czech Republic is a common destination for fertility treatment, offered through private and public providers. Statutory health insurance covers a limited number of IVF cycles for eligible insured patients within set conditions, while extra laboratory techniques are often paid separately. Because covered-cycle and age rules change, confirm the current terms officially.
Regulation and finding a clinic
The State Institute for Drug Control (SÚKL) authorises IVF centres as tissue establishments, inspects them, and publishes a public register of permit holders that you can check. Assisted reproduction is governed by Act No. 373/2011 Coll.
